Thanks to Logan being essentially the perfect movie, I saw it twice last weekend, giving me no chance to see Get Out. I want to see it, but you can only eat so much movie popcorn in the course of a month.
Anyway, if you haven’t heard, Get Out, directed by Jordan Peele (the shorter and fatter half of Key & Peele), came out of nowhere to rewrite the definition of shattering expectations. The horror-comedy is one of the year’s most favorably reviewed films by a mile and has made $76 million after just two weeks.
Maybe Peele should helm a biopic about Trump’s rise to the presidency. That will be a lot more terrifying.

Here’s the synopsis of Get Out:
Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.
