For most people, New Year’s Day starts out a little rough because of all the champagne and liquor from the night before, but Joseph Murphy was on a whole other level of hurting on January 1. Murphy was arrested at Walt Disney World Resort on New Year’s Day after allegedly peeing on a police officer, trying to choke himself, and yelling “F*** Trump!”
On the plus side, spending the first month of 2017 on probation is probably the best way to ensure that you will finally succeed at a “Dry January.” Trying to choke yourself or urinating on an officer of the law is kind of unnecessary, though.
What Happened?
According to police, Murphy was wasted early Sunday morning in Disney Springs, FL. The officers approached Murphy because he apparently smelled of alcohol, then arrested him and put him in handcuffs. Once they put him inside the police car, Murphy started hitting his head on the partition and tried choking himself, all the while yelling “police brutality” and “F*** Donald Trump.”
Finally, the police officers, who were probably laughing all the way, arrived at the Orange County Jail with Murphy. Upon his exit from the police car, Murphy started peeing on the floor and even on an officer’s pants. How he managed to extract his willy from his zipper while he’s handcuffed, I have no idea, but sometimes magic things can happen to magic people.
Murphy eventually was charged with battery on an officer, indecent exposure of sexual organs, and resisting an officer without violence.
