WATCH: Kansas Tries Camouflage Kick Return Because Why Not

There’s no greater disparity between a school’s football and basketball programs than Kansas. The Jayhawks have won 12 consecutive Big 12 titles on the hardwood, but they’re gridiron counterparts are consistent Big 12 cellar dwellers. And this year is no exception, as Kansas might have the worst team in all of the major college football conferences.
But today it looked like they had an opportunity to get their first Big 12 win, hosting an Iowa State program that likewise had lost all their conference games. So Kansas knew to pull out all the stops today, including trying to camouflage wide receiver LaQuvionte Gonzalez by having him lay flat in the endzone during a kick return.

If there’s any upside to the monochrome jerseys that are all the rage these days in the NFL and the pros, it’s the possibility that teams can try this.
The runback was a moderate success for the Jayhawks with Gonzalez taking the ball out to the 29. Unfortunately for them they lost the game 31-24, blowing what looked like the only winnable Big 12 game they had left on their schedule.
