There’s a strong argument to be made that Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is the most skilled player to ever step foot into the WNBA.
She’s a skilled passer, a sharp shooter, and a polished ball handler. But if a recent video posted on the Fever’s social media accounts is any indication, there’s one skill that Clark most certainly does not have: folding a t-shirt.
Over the past week or so, Indiana has been posting Instagram videos of each of its players taking part in the “Fever Time Trials” – a series of skill challenges involving obstacles, ping pong balls, and cup stacking. Oh, and t-shirt folding.
Clark breezed through most of it. Then came the shirt.

By the end of the video, she posted a time of 37.67 seconds – which, after scrolling through her teammates’ attempts, looks to be one of the better times on the team. The problem isn’t the time. It’s what the shirt looked like afterward.
Clark’s folding technique didn’t resemble any commonly accepted method. Not the flat fold, not the ranger roll, not even a loose approximation of either. Fans noticed immediately.
“I love CC, but she DID NOT fold that shirt 😭”
That was one of the kinder responses on Instagram. Another reply pointed to her boyfriend – former Iowa basketball player Connor McCaffery – suggesting he’s probably the one handling laundry duties at home.
The video quickly spread to X, and the criticism followed right along with it.
“Ok, who is folding shirts like this lol”
“Nah, Caitlin has to take a penalty for that shirt fold”
Hundreds of posts across Instagram and X called out Clark for the the folding attempt – good-naturedly, for the most part, but consistently. The consensus was clear: the shirt did not pass inspection.
