R&B artist Ray J has revealed that doctors have given him just months to live due to heart failure. The 45-year-old “One Wish” singer took to social media with the shocking announcement, explaining that years of excessive partying have severely damaged his heart.
In a video posted online, Ray J made the grim declaration that “2027 is definitely a wrap for me” while making a cutting motion across his neck. Medical professionals reportedly told him his heart is functioning at only 25% capacity.
“This is black,” he said, pointing to his chest. “This is, like, done. I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro.”
The singer admitted he mistakenly believed he was invincible.
“I could handle all the alcohol… all the Adderall… [and] all the drugs,” he explained, before acknowledging the harsh reality. “I couldn’t [handle it]. It curved my time here.”
Ray J described a lifestyle of extreme substance abuse, consuming “four or five bottles a day” and taking “10 Addys” as if he were “indestructible.” These habits have apparently taken a devastating toll on his health.
Despite the grim prognosis, the singer expressed confidence that his family would be financially secure. “My baby mama [Princess Love] gonna be straight, my kids gonna be straight, if they wanna spend all the money, they can spend it,” he stated.
His final wishes were equally direct: “I did my part here. And damn, when it’s all done, burn me, don’t bury me,” Page Six reported.

Medical Treatment
In an interview with TMZ, Ray J disclosed that doctors have advised bed rest while he takes medications to manage his condition. His treatment includes Jardiance and Entresto for heart failure mitigation, along with the cholesterol medication Lipitor.
Beyond “One Wish,” Ray J gained popularity with songs like “Wait a Minute” and “Sexy Can I.” However, he remains most notorious for his appearance alongside Kim Kardashian in her infamous 2007 adult video, Kim Kardashian, Superstar.
