The New Orleans Pelicans welcome the Miami Heat to Smoothie King Center on Friday, March 6 in the first game of an ESPN doubleheader. Miami is the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Pelicans are continuing to stay in the mix for the No. 8 seed out West.
New Orleans has been a stronger team in the second half of the season, thanks to getting healthy. In fact, Rookie star Zion Williamson played his first back-to-back of the season earlier this week.
“I think my game is progressing,” Williamson said, via ESPN.com. “Still getting my legs under me, just learning the game. The NBA, these are the best players in the world. They’re smart. They have high IQs for the game. They have scouting reports, so I think it’s just bringing something new to the table every game.”
New Orleans enters Friday night’s contest as 1.5-point favorites over the Heat.
