WATCH: Taylor Swift Performs NPR Tiny Desk Concert (Full Video)

Taylor Swift has accomplished a lot throughout her musical career. Swift sells out stadiums all over the world, but on Tuesday, October 16, we got to see a more intimate side of her music thanks to her debut on NPR Tiny Desk.

Swift stopped by the NPR offices in Washington, D.C. and performed a four-track set for more than 300 NPR employees and guests.

“I just decided to take this as an opportunity to show you guys how the songs sounded when I first wrote them,” Swift told the crowd before she began her performance — which included acoustic renditions of her tracks accompanied by only guitar or piano. “It’s just me. There’s no dancers, unfortunately.”

The full set included the songs “The Man,” “Lover,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” and “All Too Well”.

NPR wrote: “In the midst of meetings and conference calls, Tiny Desk concerts offer respite from the workday and an opportunity to see an artist reimagine their work in a strange setting. It’s always special, but on some days, it feels downright magical. Watching Taylor Swift perform – and then interact with coworkers and guests who have grown up with her – was simply enchanting.”

The highly-anticipated Taylor Swift album Lover finally dropped at midnight on Friday, August 23, after releasing the official music for the title track and other singles “You Need to Calm Down”, “The Archer”, and “ME!” in the weeks leading up to its release.

“This album is very much a celebration of love, in all its complexity, coziness, and chaos,” Swift wrote on Instagram when the album officially hit streaming services. “It’s the first album of mine that I’ve ever owned, and I couldn’t be more proud. I’m so excited that Lover is out NOW.”

Lover is now available on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
