We finally have our first look at Rick and Morty season four. Ahead of its November 10 premiere, Adult Swim has released the official trailer for the upcoming 10-episode season. This season promises more “epic” adventures for the stars of the animated series.
“Without giving anything away, we have serialized stuff we check in on now and then that’s sprinkled over the top of strong episodic episodes. To fans of the show, they’re going to want to watch them in order,” Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland said of his plans for the upcoming season, via Uproxx.
“We want every episode to be good. There are times we’re like, ‘Okay, this one will be the worst of the season,’ and we’re still compelled to do everything in our power to fix what we think is wrong with it… Sometimes we get them back and are like, ‘We need to roll our sleeves up and figure this out.’ This season’s been good. Pretty excited about this season.”

Following its initial 2013 premiere, Rick and Morty quickly established itself as one of the smartest, most unique, and generally, hilarious adult comedies to really ever exist. The success of the first three seasons led Adult Swim to pick up the series for an additional 70 episodes over an unspecified number of seasons back in May 2018.
Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes but will be split into two parts with five episodes this year and five expected next year.
Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, the already-iconic Adult Swim series initially began as an animated short parody film of the classic Michael J. Fox-starring time travel movie, Back to the Future.
