Russian athlete and model Margarita Plavunova is dead at 25-years-old. According to reports, the hurdler was jogging during a training session when she passed away. Plavuno reportedly suffered cardiac arrest during her training session.
Plavunova was not known to have any previous health issues.
The body of the athlete was found near the side of a road after witnesses saw her collapse. When paramedics arrived at the scene, they were unable to revive her. It is believed that her heart failure was caused by her heavy workload while training for an upcoming competition.

No foul play is suspected in Plavunova’s death despite some reports that she was “chased by an attacker.”

According to reports, Plavunova passed away on August 19 while out on a jog during a training session. Witnesses saw the model and athlete fall into a grassy area near the side of the road. It is being reported that Plavunova, who was just 25 years old, died from acute heart failure.
Plavunova’s death was confirmed by fellow athlete Pasha Sedykh, who was her boyfriend.
According to Pravda, Plavunova “had repeatedly won championships of the Tambov region. She had also participated in indoor track-and-field championship of Russia, where she performed in 60-meter hurdles. Plavunova was a candidate for master of sports.”
