John Singleton Death: Family Hires Private Investigator to Look into Death

John Singleton’s death is beginning to raise suspicions among his family. In fact, according to a report from TMZ, the director’s family has hired a private investigator to look into his death after some questionable details surfaced regarding his final moments.
Singleton allegedly checked himself into a hospital in mid-April after returning home from a trip to Costa Rica. His family now believes that there is much more to the story.
The family allegedly wants to know “whether someone knew he was in bad shape and could have done something sooner to help him.”
From the report:

We’re told nobody seems to know how Singleton got to the hospital — he didn’t drive himself, no friends or family are saying they took him, and there are no Uber or Lyft receipts to confirm how he arrived. Even stranger … our sources say hospital staff told family members John just sort of appeared out of nowhere in a wheelchair … and he seemed pretty out of it.

The Academy Award-winning director allegedly suffered a stroke on April 17. A few days later, it was reported that the “Boyz ‘N the Hood” director was in a coma. Then, on Monday, April 29, Fox Kansas City film critic Shawn Edwards reported that Singleton passed away early in the morning.
Singleton was nominated for two Oscars for “Boyz ‘N the Hood,” becoming the youngest nominee for Best Director and the first black person to be nominated for the award. Singleton also directed “Poetic Justice,” “Shaft,” “Baby Boy,” “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Four Brothers.”
