Game of Thrones had a controversial end, with many fans of the HBO hit series upset about how the show came to an end. As it turns out, one of the stars of the show didn’t even bother to see how it all played out.
In a recent interview, Yara Greyjoy actress Gemma Whelan admitted that she never saw how the action all played out.
“I haven’t watched the end yet, no,” Whelan said, via Digital Spy. “I do know what happens. I came home and my husband was watching it and I saw the final bit but I haven’t seen most of the series yet, because we didn’t have internet in our house.”
Whelan was last in the series during the season finale “Iron Throne” as she oversaw the trial of Tyrion Lannister. And while she admits that the series was life-changing, she never saw how the series finished.

The good news for Whelan is that very few fans of the series thought that the show ended in a good way, so she must not be missing much.
As for the fans who were left wanting more from the show’s ending, they will have to wait until at least the summer of 2020 to see how George R.R. Martin wraps up his A Song of Ice and Fire book series which inspired the show. The finale two books of the series will be titled “The Winds of Winter” and “A Dream of Spring!” Let’s hope they are all worth the wait.
