Jay-Z Becomes First Billionaire Rapper

Jay Z has always been an entrepreneur. Now, the rapper has reached a new milestone that has never been achieved before. According to reports. Jay Z has now become the first billionair rapper ever.
From the Forbes report:

“Jay is teaching in a lot bigger classroom than I’ll ever teach in. For a young person growing up, he’s the guy to learn from.” This moment, which was originally captured in our 2010 Forbes 400 package, made it clear that Jay-Z already had a blueprint for his own ten-figure fortune. “Hip-hop from the beginning has always been aspirational,” he said.
Less than a decade later, it’s clear that Jay-Z has accumulated a fortune that conservatively totals $1 billion, making him one of only a handful of entertainers to become a billionaire—and the first hip-hop artist to do so. Jay-Z’s steadily growing kingdom is expansive, encompassing liquor, art, real estate (homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Tribeca) and stakes in companies like Uber.

2016 – 2017

As 2015 saw some ups and downs with Tidal’s streaming services and no musical developments from Jay Z, 2016 saw a bit more commercial success. The app received some notable boosts from some big names on its roster… including that of Mrs. Carter, Beyonce.
It’s rumored that the release of Beyonce’s Lemonade on Tidal actually gained the couple more money, despite the cheating accusations.
Jay Z also gained some notable features and released some notable hype-inducing verses in 2016, with his alleged album being worked for a release at the end of the year.
He also earned some extra cash by signing some big names to the Roc Nation label and cutting loose some of the less profitable acts.
With Jay Z’s net worth of $650 million, and his wife Beyonce Knowles’ net worth of about $450 million, they are one of the most powerful couples in America. With both of them continuing their music careers and expanding business opportunities, their net worth is sure to see a steady increase year by year.

Jay Z released his new video ‘Family Feud’ ft Beyonce from Jay-Z’s new album on 4th January on YouTube for the whole world to watch.

In honor of new year’s resolution Jay Z has challenged fans to go Vegan for the sake of the environment; a different approach indeed.
