Former UFC prospect Sage Northcutt made his ONE Championship debut on Friday, May 17 at ONE Championship 96: Enter the Dragon. Northcutt was once considered to be one of the rising stars in the UFC before growing pains caused him to stumble in two bouts.

In his co-main event bout against kickboxing standout Cosmo Alexandre, Northcutt suffered a devastating knockout loss in just 29 seconds. Alexandre clipped Northcutt with a heavy overhand right that immediately sent him crumbling to the mat.
