Antoinette Love, a high school senior in New Orleans, Louisiana, is making headlines for all of the right reasons. Love is an academic superstar and has parlayed that success in the classroom into admitted to 115 colleges and granted over $3.7 million in scholarship money, according to CNN.com.
“I just kept applying,” Love said while discussing her success with CNN. “I wanted to see how many I could get into. At first I didn’t think I was going to get this many, but then they just kept coming and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’” she said.
Love, who was born six weeks premature, attends International High School of New Orleans where she participates in the anime club, video game club, national honor society, the English honor society and Rho Kappa social studies honor society. She has accumulated a GPA of 3.7 throughout her high school career.
She also holds a part-time job and is enrolled in community college.

“We have so much going on in our lives to where this is that one moment where it’s something good and something positive, not only for our family but for the city, too, to show what kind of kids New Orleans has,” her mother Yolanda Love said in an interview with NOLA.com.
While Love has not decided where she will attend college, she has said she is down to Louisiana State University, Valparaiso University, University of North Texas, Fisk University, Randolph University, Brandeis University, and Mississippi State University.
Once in college, Love hopes to study elementary education with the goal of being a teacher.
Considering how well Love has been able to handle herself during her time in school, she would be an incredible role model for the next generation of up-and-coming students.
