If you are a fast food fanatic, you’ve probably seen the outlandish and downright impressive international menu items at restaurants like McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, and others. Unfortunately, unless you are traveling overseas you don’t get to taste the items like the shawarma rice bowl at KFC in the Philippines, McDonald’s Japan’s Shimp Filet-O, macarons at the McDonald’s in Spain, McNoodles, McCurry and so on.
But if you ever wondered what the international items are like, you will finally get your chance to try a select few out.
According to Business Insider, McDonald’s will be launching a “Worldwide Favorites” promotion this summer that will include four international items. The promotion is set to start in June with the international favorites.
The four options will be the Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger from Spain, the Stroopwafel McFlurry from the Netherlands, cheesy bacon fries from Australia, and Canada’s tomato-Mozzarella Chicken sandwich. The Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger is a quarter pounder topped with bacon, gouda cheese, bacon sauce, and onions. The Tomato-Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich comes with a special tomato-herb sauce.
The Stroopwafel McFlurry is pretty self-explanatory, and the cheesy bacon fries have been introduced in the states before.

Hopefully this promotion is a major hit and we will be able to enjoy some additional international menu items down the line. But for now, we will take what we can get. There is currently no release date for the four menu items, but keep an eye out for an official release date and announcement from McDonald’s in the near future.
