LaDerihanna Holmes has been identified as the nine-year-old girl who was struck by a black sedan being driven by teenagers as she was playing in her Lithonia, Georgia front yard, on Friday, March 29. Thankfully, the nine-year-old miraculously survived the shocking crash.
At this time, neither of the two suspects seen fleeing the scene has been identified, but both suspects are reportedly teenagers.
According to a GoFundMe page set up for the Homes family, LaDerihanna suffered a “skull fracture with laceration” and “a broken pelvic bone in 3 places.” Additionally, the GoFundMe states that “a front fracture is shattered and a deep back laceration is fractured as well as a right heart valve is leaking.”
Chris Stewart, an attorney for the family, characterized Holmes’ survival as a “miracle”.
“God is so great. There is no explanation on how my client is alive. I sat with her and can’t believe my eyes and though her road to health will be long, she’s alive,” Stewart tweeted.

According to police, the owner of the vehicle involved in the crash told authorities that she was at work at the time of the crash and had given the car to her boyfriend, who is in his 30s, which does not match the age of the suspects seen on the security camera footage.
Police have asked anyone with information about the identity of the suspect to please contact authorities immediately.
