Stephen Marshall has been identified as the 51-year-old suspect who was shot and killed during a nearly 15-hour-long standoff at the Quality Hill Hotel in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Update: At 10:19 a.m. EST, the Manchester Police Department tweeted that the standoff situation at the Quality Inn Hotel has been resolved.

Marshall reportedly “engaged” responding Manchester police officers and federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents before he was killed. After he was shot, Marshall was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to police, two unidentified suspects remained barricaded inside a first-floor room at the Quality Inn. The incident began around 7:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 27.
In a statement, Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati identified 51-year-old Stephen Marshall as the lone victim thus far in the standoff. Marshall reportedly had a lengthy criminal history including many drug-related charges.
As a result of the gunfire, police were forced to evacuate both the Quality Inn hotel and a nearby restaurant.
No police officers or innocent civilians were injured or harmed in any way during the 15-hour long standoff.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano commended the work of his officers.
“These officers have been doing an incredible job and I can’t be more proud of them as the chief of police here. Manchester police officers were attacked and tonight and we can’t stand for that,” Police Chief Capano stated.
