An unidentified suspect has been shot and killed by police after they walked into the Church of Scientology in Inglewood, California, armed with a sword.
Some reports indicate the suspect was also carrying a gun, although police have yet to confirm. The suspect has been described as an Asian male.
Following the incident, which happened around 3:30 p.m. PST on Wednesday, March 27, the two responding officers were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
One of the officers was shot in the thumb and the other was shot in the arm, Inglewood Chief of Police Mark Fronterotta said.
The Church of Scientology in Inglewood is located at 315 S. Market St.
At this time, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
