Thanks to a recent survey from the travel experts at Upgraded Points on where you should travel in Europe based on your Hogwarts house, you can finally vacation with a purpose.
Keep reading to find out the best vacation spots according to your Hogwarts housemates!
Gryffindor
Let’s start with all you daring, brave-hearted Gryffindors. It’s time to take your adventurous spirit to Europe! But where in Europe, you ask? Well, your fellow Gryffindors have spoken, and it seems that you have three choices: Paris, Venice, or Rome.
No matter which of these options float your boat, we have no doubt that your vacation will be jam-packed with excitement. After all, you Gryffindors prefer to live on the edge, and this doesn’t change when you’re on holiday. If you go with Paris, you should consider venturing north to Val d’Isère or Courchevel for a day of skiing. On the other hand, you might also enjoy ziplining through the Italian countryside, or trying to climb up the side of the Coliseum– which isn’t allowed, by the way. Just a heads up.
Whatever you end up doing, be careful out there, Gryffindors. As much as you’d like to think you are, you’re not invincible.
Hufflepuff
Hey there, kind-hearted Hufflepuffs! You’ve come to the right place. You work hard all year long, so you deserve a relaxing get-away this summer. But where will you go?
Like Gryffindors, you’ve got options!
How does Dublin sound? Not great? Well, then how about London, Athens, or Copenhagen? Surely one of these fantastic destinations tickles your fancy. You work tirelessly day in and day out, so it’s time to have some fun… but not too much fun. More than anything, you should use your vacation as a chance to recharge. Oh, Hufflepuff! You give so much to others, but you can’t pour from an empty glass. Might I recommend you take a day trip to the beach while you’re on vacation? If you make it to Athens, it might be worth bopping over to Santorini for a bit. Or, if you find yourself in England, you could always explore a charming seaside town or two.
Ravenclaw
Don’t worry, Ravenclaw. You haven’t been forgotten.
As it turns out, some of your preferred vacation spots are a bit less mainstream… like Reykjavik, Iceland. Do you know something the rest of us don’t, wise Ravenclaw? It wouldn’t be the first time. It seems like Iceland would be a bit chilly for a summer vacay, but it’s best not to question your judgment.
Not feeling Iceland after all? Go ahead, speak your mind. There are other options too.
How do Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna sound? Pretty great, right? Who knows, maybe if you plan your trip far enough in advance, you can knock all of these spots off your travel bucket list in one fell swoop. I wouldn’t put it past you, Ravenclaw. If anyone could pull it off, it’s you.
Slytherin
And last, but certainly not least… Slytherins! Prepare to have the vacation of a lifetime. You’re a notoriously ambitious bunch, so when it comes to picking travel destinations, your mantra might as well be: “Go big or go home!” You Slytherins don’t do anything half-way.
And we know you struggle with arrogance more than most, but this is advice you should heed. After all, these suggestions aren’t from us, but from your fellow Slytherins! According to them, you have three pretty solid options: Oslo, Brussels, and Prague.
It can be tricky to know what to pack for a summer vacay in some of these places, especially if you aren’t bringing too much luggage along, but we trust you’ll put your resourcefulness to good use and make the most out of what you bring.
