90210 Star Luke Perry Hospitalized After Massive Stroke At 52

UPDATE (3/4/19): After his hospitalization for a massive stroke, actor Luke Perry has passed away at age 52. Perry had been placed in a medically induced coma after the “massive” stroke, according to TMZ. Perry is best known for his work as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210 and as Fred Andrews on the CW series Riverdale.


ORIGINAL STORY: Actor Luke Perry has been hospitalized in the Los Angeles area, according to a report from TMZ. The celebrity gossip site notes that paramedics responded to Perry’s home in Sherman Oaks after he reportedly suffered a massive stroke.

“Paramedics responded to Luke’s home in Sherman Oaks around 9:40 AM,” the report reads. “We know the call came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke, and Luke was transported to a nearby hospital. It’s unclear what his condition is right now.”

Perry is 52 years old.

The actor currently remains hospitalized, but there is no official word on his condition.

It was recently reported that there would be a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion for a six-episode special event, though Perry had not signed on to the project when it was announced by FOX. Perry rose to fame as Dylan McKay on the series.

Perry currently stars as Fred Andrews on the CW hit series Riverdale.
