The New Berlin Police Department has tweeted that they are currently on scene of a “tactical situation” near South Calhoun Rd and West National Ave. Authorities reportedly arrived on the scene around 9 a.m. on Monday.
Update (10:27 a.m. EST): The New Berlin Police Department has tweeted that the situation has been resolved.
The tactical situation on S Calhoun Rd and W National Ave has been resolved. The roadways will be open momentarily.
Police have asked civilians to avoid the area. At this time, that is all the information available. Police have yet to further elaborate on what they mean by ‘tactical situation.’
