People across the country were headed to the polls on Tuesday, November 6 for the 2018 midterm elections. That means throughout the night, results will be pouring in as we learn whether the “Blue Wave” was a real phenomenon and the Democrats can take control of the House and chip away at the Republicans’ advantage in the Senate. Nearly every network will be covering the election results, including Comedy Central.
For election night, Trevor Noah and The Daily Show will be hosting a live special edition of the show to keep viewers informed as the results come pouring in.
The special will be filmed at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami, Florida. It marks the eighth time that The Daily Show has broadcasted live with Noah as the host, with previous live episodes coming during the 2016 election, presidential and vice presidential debates, and Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.
