Irving, Texas Hostage Situation: Full Story & Must-See Details

SWAT team and the bomb squad is on the scene of a hostage situation in Irving, Texas. According to reports, a man has taken multiple people hostage.
Police and SWAT are currently on scene of a situation at a home in the Las Colinas area of Irving, Texas, after shots were fired. Police reported to the scene after they received a call about a domestic disturbance and shots fired around 9 a.m.
Police spokesman James McLellan has said that “a few people were able to escape” after a hostage situation.
According to CBS, the Irving Police Department SWAT Team was deployed to the scene in the 300 block of San Marcos (near Interstate-635 and the Bush Turnpike) after the department received a report of a barricaded man who had fired shots. Police confirmed the man, reportedly in his 60s, is believed to have other people with him inside the house.
Update (1:18 p.m. EST): Police have accounted for all known hostages and there are no injuries.

There is currently a large police presence in the neighborhood and civilians are currently being advised to avoid the area. At this time, the suspect has not yet been identified.
