LIVE STREAM: Mollie Tibbetts Press Conference Video & Updates

Mollie Tibbetts, a University of Iowa student who went missing more than a month ago, was reportedly found dead in rural Iowa on Tuesday, Aug. 21. While few details have been released, it is believed that the 20-year-old’s body was the one found after she went missing while jogging outside of her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa.
Mitch Mortvedt, assistant director of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, is set to provide an update on the situation at approximately 6:00 p.m. ET.

Tibbetts’ disappearance sparked an enormous search that involved local, state and federal authorities and volunteers.
Greg Willey, the vice president of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, says a body found Tuesday, August 21, is believed to be Tibbetts. Willey says a nearly $400,000 reward fund for her discovery will now become a reward for information leading to the capture of any suspects.
Richard Rahn, the special agent in charge with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation for the Major Crime Unit, said that more than 200 interviews have been conducted in the investigation into her disappearance.
While further details on the discovery of her body were not immediately available, police said that significant information will be released at the press conference later today. The press conference is at 6 p.m. EST.
