We’re less than two weeks from SummerSlam and the blue brand looks to solidify its portion of the card. The champion will call out his challenger and two sets of friends in the women’s division will get a chance to get their hands on each other. We find out who the Bludgeon Brothers find out their SummerSlam opponents will be and The Miz said he had a big announcement he’ll be making tonight. Here’s how and where to watch SmackDown Live tonight.
Tonight SmackDown Live will be at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Becky Lynch’s championship match against Carmella at SummerSlam has become a little more crowded with the addition of Charlotte Flair to make it a triple threat. But before the duo turns their attention on each other the friends will be facing off against another pair of friends, The IIconics. Lynch and Flair both have a spotty history with the Australian duo but the IIconics will want to make a statement by beating the two former Women’s Champions.
The tournament to figure out the number one contenders for the SmackDown Live comes to a conclusion tonight. The New Day will take on The Bar for the right to face The Bludgeon Brothers for the titles at SummerSlam. They two teams are not strangers to each other, it was The Bar that ended The New Days historic championship run in 2016. We haven’t seen much of The Bar as of late, can they bring back some of that magic and get the win over The New Day again?
AJ Styles will look to get some words in with Samoa Joe. Joe has been a juggernaut of promos the last few months so it’ll be interesting to see what Styles comes at him with. The two have plenty of history outside the WWE so it’ll be fun to see how this plays out on the biggest stage they’ve had.
Daniel Bryan and The Miz have been on a collision course for a long time. Bryan has finally outright called out The Miz and challenged him to a match at SummerSlam. The Miz responded with an emphatic “NO.” Though now he wants to make a big announcement tonight on SmackDown? It will most likely be something to do with Bryan, and it will most likely not be received well by The American Dragon…
