When you are a driver, you have to think fast at high speeds to make decisions that can make or break your race. For dirt track racer Logan Seavey, that led to an improbably move that has since gone viral. The 21-year-old driver, who is the USAC National Midget points leader this season, made a daring move over the weekend to avoid a crash.
After cars got tangled up in front of him, Seavey was drifting around a turn where he seemingly had nowhere to go.
That’s when Seavey made the snap decision to avoid the cars on the track by driving up the fence and then continuing on down the backstretch. Luckily, someone in the crowd was able to capture the incredible moment on video and Seavey took to social media to share the wild scene.

Earlier this year, Seavey made his NASCAR debut in the Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway on July 18. Seavey was driving the No. 51 Mobil 1 Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Seavey led a portion of the race but ultimately finished in eigth-place. If he is able to hang on to the points lead in the 2017 POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series, it will be his second straight championship.
The Toyota Racing Development driver definitely has a future in the sport and his willingness to do the seemingly impossible should get him more opportunities on the track as he continues to climb the ranks.
