Tony Sparano Cause Of Death: How Did Tony Die?

The Minnesota Vikings have confirmed offensive line coach Tony Sparano has passed away in his home this past Sunday; his passing notably took place just days before training camp begins. He was 56 years old at the time of his death.

On Twitter, the Vikings announced the news with the following message:

“With deep regret the Minnesota Vikings announce that Offensive Line Coach Tony Sparano unexpectedly passed away early this morning.”

According to KSTP, the Vikings issued the following statement concerning Sparano’s death:

“Our hearts go out to Jeanette and the entire Sparano family as we all mourn the loss of Tony. Tony was a passionate and driven individual who cared deeply about his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Tony’s presence within the Vikings organization will be deeply missed. We are only thinking of Tony’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that the entire NFL and Vikings family keep the Sparanos in their thoughts.”

Sparano joined the Vikings in 2016 as their offensive line coach. In addition to his work with the Vikings, Sparano also worked with the Miami Dolphins, the Oakland Raiders, the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys over the years. He also worked as a coach for his alma mater, New Haven, a Division II school, and Boston University.
As mentioned above, at this time, Sparano is believed to be survived by his wife, Jeanette, and three children, including two sons, Tony and Andrew, one daughter, Ryan Leigh, and four grandchildren.
