On Friday, July 20, GLORY Kickboxing returned to Hulu Theatre inside of Madison Square Garden for GLORY 55 New York. The event was headlined by a middleweight title fight between reigning title holder Alex Pereira and challenger Yousri Belgarouri. When all was said and done, Pereira was able to retain his title with a thrilling first-round knockout victory to cap off the night.
Other highlights included a second-round TKO win by Cedric Doumbe over Alan Scheinson, and the return of former champion Tiffany Van Soest who scored a split-decision victory over Sofia Olafsson.
On the night’s preliminary card, Jonathan Di Bella defeated Ahmad Ibrahim for the ISKA North American lightweight title, while Zarrukh Adashev took down Geoffrey Then for the ISKA USA super bantamweight title.
