Sokratis Kokkalis Jr., the son of a Greek billionaire, was found dead at age 34 this week. According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, Kokkalis was found dead inside of his hotel room with three baggies of cocaine near his body. Kokkalis’ father, Socrates Kokkalis Sr., was the founder of Intracom, a Greek telecommunications company that was previously accused of being a spy for East Germany. It is the largest intracom company in southeaster Europe.

Three bags of cocaine were found in the hotel room of Socrates Kokkalis Jr., according to police reports. It is believed that he died of a suspected overdose. Kokkalios’ father is the chairman of Greek soccer team Olympiacos, while Kokkalis Jr. was the team’s vice president and in charge of business development for the company Intracom.

Sokrates Kokkalis Jr was born in Milan in 1984. He graduated from Athens College (2001) and completed a degree (B.A.) in International Relations from Boston University (2005).
He worked in INTRALOT’s General Commercial Division / Business Development (2007) and, since 2010, he served in OLYMPIACOS FC’s Commercial Department.
Since 2010, he was Intralot Interactive’s Business Development Executive and a BoD member. Moreover, since February, he was a Non-Executive Member of INTRAKAT’s BoD. His premature passing away, on 14/7/2018, left the entire Olympiacos family in mourning for the unexpected loss of our Club’s Vice-president B’.
Kokkalis was on a business trip in Cleveland, Ohio.
