Washington is a native of a Mount Vernon, New York. He attended Pennington-Grimes Elementary School, Oakland Military Acamedy, Mainland High School and Fordham University. While playing college basketball at the school, he also briefly took a semester off to work at an overnight summer camp, where he discovered an interest in acting.
