Camila Giorgi is one of the rising tennis stars and has put together a strong showing in the 2018 Wimbeldon tournament. Her star power grew during a match against Serena Williams in the quarterfinals when she won the opening set and challenged in the third. But while Giorgi is one of the top up-and-coming players the sport has to offer, she doesn’t really watch her peers while she is in her free time.

Because of that, she didn’t suffer from much intimidation against Williams in her match.

The court dimensions are always the same, they don’t change! Serena? I don´t follow tennis, although I saw her in action. I want to play a beautiful match, be consistent and play my tennis,” said Giorgi. “I have a long way to go. It’s like all the other women that are still in the draw. ‘Each of us, seeded or not, I’m not seeded, we’re just here to do our best. ‘I’m getting there. Yeah, I don’t think I’m there yet.

“I feel like it takes time to get there. I’m always striving for perfection. There’s a lot of things that I don’t know if you can tell, but I really need to work on. Hopefully, I can get there. So hopefully I’ll start feeling better mentally as well as I am on the court.”
