Smoke Dawg Dead: Did Toronto Rapper Get Shot & Killed?

Smoke Dawg, an up-and-coming rapper from Toronto, was reportedly shot and killed in the Toronto Entertainment District on Saturday night. Reports surfaced on social media that the 21-year-old was gunned down, though the Toronto Police Service have yet to confirm the news.
Multiple affiliates of Smoke Dawg took to social media to claim he was the victim who died.
Three were reportedly shot — two men and one woman. Multiple shots were fired outside of Cube Nightclub before the suspects fled the scene. They are believed to have fled in a black SUV or white car.
“Our investigators are on-scene right now trying to piece this together,” Const. David Hopkinson told CP24. “It is a large scene. We’re talking about the downtown core and Queen Street—one of the busiest streets on a very busy Canada Day weekend.”

Fellow Toronto rapper Drake also took to social media to share a photo of himself with Smoke Dawg and a message which read: “All these gifts and blessed souls and inner lights being extinguished lately is devastating. I wish peace would wash over our city. So much talent and so many stories we never get to see play out. Rest up Smoke.”

Smoke Dawg recently released “Fountain Freestyle.”
