Aaron Hughes made sure to get the crowd on their feet early at Pinz-Kingston in Kingston, Massachusetts on Saturday, June 30, for Cage Titans 39. In an amateur catchweight bout on the event’s undercard, Hughes was able to run through Xavier Cardona to score an impressive first-round knockout.
The most impressive part? The knockout came at just seven seconds.

The win marks Hughes’ second consecutive knockout victory for Cage Titans and his third win in a row. After a disappointing 0-3 start to his amateur career, Hughes, whose nickname is “Short Fuse,” has now drawn even at 3-3. The Rhode Island fighter competes out of Tri-Force MMA. in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Cage Titans 39 is headlined by a lightweight bout between Peter Barrett and Connor Barry. In the co-main event, welterweights Jay Ellis and Zach Disabatino go head-to-head.
