WATCH: MMA Fighter Gets Screwed By Ref, Loses Mind & Starts Tossing Chairs

Things did not go as planned for Jason High at PFL 2. The mixed martial arts veteran was facing off against former TUF champion Efrain Escudero on the main card of the Professional Fighters League’s second event when things went terribly wrong from the beginning.
First, Escudero badly missed weight for the bout.
Then, when fight night finally came, High suffered an incredibly controversial loss. In the third round of the fight, High was fighting off a guillotine choke from Escudero when referee Josh Stewart came running in to stop the fight. There was one problem, though: High never tapped.
Stewart thought he saw a tap and called an end to the fight which led to a meltdown from High. High, who was released from the UFC for making contact with an official, pushed Stewart away after the horrendous call and then stormed to the locker room knocking over everything in his path. Here is a look at the terrible stoppage:

Considering the PFL tournaments are for $1 million in each weight class, High’s frustration is understandable. Perhaps tossing chairs around the arena wasn’t the best idea, though.

Let’s hope the referees have their act together when the lightweights return to action on Thursday, Aug. 2 at PFL 5.
