Senior Database Administrator

Job Duties: Modify existing databases and database management systems by identifying and developing the capability to use new tools. Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs. Reshape standards and guidelines of the physical infrastructure and network access. Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations. Review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database. Responsible for the direct operations and coordination of company network system, development of new company software, new hardware implementation, and maintenance of the company network. Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases. Direct the information and data integrity for all Information Technology functions of the company. Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users. Develop data model describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures and using pen, template or computer software. Monitor database performance and ensure network availability to all system users.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer and/or Design & Technology plus 6 months of experience in Database Administration.
Skills: Must have experience with Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, MySQL, and Oracle. Must be proficient with WordPress VIP, Google DFP ad server, Adobe Creative Suites, and Amazon Web Services
