Blanche Ely High School Lockdown: Full Story of Armed Person on Campus

Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Florida on lockdown after report of an armed person on campus. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is telling reporter and parents on campus that no shots have been fired. The suspect is now reportedly in custody. The lockdown in Pompano Beach comes just six days after the deadly shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas that left 10 people dead and 13 people injured.
Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the school just before 1:30 p.m., Thursday. SWAT team was also spotted on the campus. No other information was made immediately available.

Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.
