A Nevada high school teacher has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Maren Oates, 33, was employed at the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology in Reno, Nevada. She was placed on administrative leave and arrested on Thursday for allegedly having sex with a pupil. Her bail has been set at $20,000.
The school district released a statement, informing the public that an investigation is ongoing. According to the statement, “Washoe County School Police are investigating allegations that a District employee engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student. The employee in question has been placed on administrative leave.”
The statement concluded with, “The safety and security of our students and staff is our number-one priority. The District cannot discuss personnel issues.”

Authorities were reportedly alerted of the crime by staff members who informed police that Oates was having an inappropriate relationship with a pupil. However, only a few details relating to the allegations have been released to the public.
On Thursday, May 17, 2018, she was arrested and placed on $20,000 bail relating to the allegations of a sexual relationship with a student, according to jail records.

Maren Oates was a former graphic design teacher at the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology in Reno, Nevada. Her discipline of education included the subject of communication arts and media, which she taught at the Reno high school. She attended college and graduated from the University of Reno before becoming a teacher.
Oates is now embedded in controversy as she has been accused of having sex with a student at the school where she was employed. The 33-year-old now-former school teacher has been arrested for the alleged sexual relationship with a pupil, and her bail has been set at $20,000.

Oates has been complimented many times from her Facebook friends for having movie star good looks. The former educator has plenty of photos of herself pouting at the camera while wearing plenty of make-up.

The high school known as the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology is located on 380 Edison Way, Reno, NV. The motto is “Imagine the possibilities!”
The Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology is a school divided by seven separate disciplines to pursue throughout high school, including Business & Finance, Communications Arts & Media, Culinary & Hospitality, Education & Training, Engineering & Renewable Energy, Medical Careers, as well as Natural Resources and Animal Science.
Maren Oates was employed in the Communications Arts & Media department, teaching graphic design at the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology.
The school became a full-time four year high school in the fall of 2009. It was formerly named The Regional Technical Institute (RTI).
