A large police presence was seen on Bon Air Road in Conemaugh Township, Pennsylvania. According to early reports, there appeared to be some sort of standoff involving police, who could be seen drawing long guns in the area, with emergency services at the scene also appearing to be wearing bulletproof vests.

“#BREAKING There is a huge police presence on Bon Air Road in Conemaugh Township. There appears to be some sort of standoff with police. Officers have long guns drawn and EMS at the bottom of the street are wearing bulletproof vests.”
According to TribDem, Cambria County 911 officials were asking people to avoid the area, saying that it was still an active situation. Around 7 P.M. local time, a road leading to the scene of the incident was blocked off by emergency personnel.
The shooter was also involved in a hit-and-run crash
According to TribDem, little information was available about the situation on Saturday night, but first responders said that an unidentified man barricaded himself inside a house and fired at police after he had been involved in a hit-and-run crash.
Local officials asked people in the area to avoid the Bon Air area while the standoff was ongoing. Some nearby roads were notably blocked off by a police cruiser and traffic cones Saturday night. Some residents were said to have left the neighborhood entirely during the incident, while others sheltered inside their homes.
In addition to the Cambria County Specialized Emergency Response Team, a large number of emergency medical personnel and volunteer firefighters were said to be at the scene.
At this time, the number of any injuries or deaths related to the incident remain unknown.
