WWE Fastlane is coming up fast! The superstars of SmackDown Live have arrived at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Tonight is the very last pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania 34. Expect a night of fast-paced action, feauting “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles putting his WWE Championship on the line in a much-anticipated six-pack challenge. Can Styles overcome the odds and topple five of SmackDown‘s top superstars, in a match which includes “The Doctor of Thuganomics” John Cena?
We might see history tonight. If Cena wins the six-pack challenge then he’ll become a 17-time world champion, surpassing the record set by 16-time world champion “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
But maybe tonight’s not the night for either Styles or Cena. Maybe it’s time for “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin to rise to the occasion and grab hold of WWE gold. Or maybe tonight will be the night of “The Yep Movement,” with either Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn capturing the WWE Championship on route to WrestleMania. Or could it be The Showoff’s time to shine, meaning “The Ziggly One” Dolph Ziggler is WrestleMania-bound with the WWE Championship in hand.

Kickoff Show: Mojo Rawley, Shelton Benjamin, and Chad Gable vs. Tye Dillinger, and Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango)

Gable and Breeze start off. Gable immediately drops Breeze who tags in Fandango who’s looking to mock his opponent. Fandango puts on Gable’s amateur wrestling head-gear, circles around the ring, and then tags in Breeze. Gable allows Breeze to mount him, which doesn’t turn out favorably for the former Olympian. Breeze rides him like a horse, which freaks out Gable. A distracted Gable eats a drop kick. All hell starts breaking loose between teams, and Dillinger and Fandango clear the ring.
Gable gains the upperhand before the break and drops Breeze once again. Shelton Benjamin is in solid control of Tyler Breeze as we return from the break. Breeze tries fighting out, but gets dropped by Benjamin. Gable gets the tag, and they double-team the dazed Breeze.
Mojo Rawley continues the assaults against a hurt Tyler Breeze. But Tye Dillinger breaths a breathe of fresh-air into the match, and scores the win for his team.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev

Today was definitely not Rusev Day, although he did push Shinsuke Nakamura to the limit. Nakamura controlled the early portion of this match, having the big man reeling at almost every moment. During the mid-way point, Rusev turned the tide and put the punishment on “The Artist” Nakamura. Rusev looked strong, imposing and dominant. He also looked like he was going to put away Nakamura with The Accolade.
Shinsuke Nakamura battles back and tries to take out Rusev with a Kinshasa, but Rusev turns that around into a massive kick. Nakamura looks finished until he musters up a comeback and finally ends what could have been Rusev’s Day with a real Kinshasa knee strike.

WWE United States Championship match: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Randy Orton

“The Viper” Randy Orton and “The Glorious One” Bobby Roode had an incredibly competitive match. Roode and Orton trade control of the contest. After a long back-and-forth encounter, Roode goes sailing off the top rope and into an RKO outta nowhere.

Post-Match: Randy Orton celebrates in the ring with the U.S. title. “The Modern Day” Maharaja Jinder Mahal comes out and assaults Orton. Bobby Roode makes the save and drops Mahal. He then turns his attention on Orton and puts the beat-down on “The Viper.”

Carmella and Natalya vs. Becky Lynch and Naomi

Becky and Carmella tangle to start off the match. Becky attempts a Dis-Arm-Her, but Carmella wiggles to the bottom rope. Carmella tags in Natalya and they double-team Becky.
Becky eventually breaks free from Natalya’s wrath and tags in Naomi. They double-team Nattie for some payback. Naomi is in control and climbs to the top, but gets distracted by Carmella. Naomi kicks Carmella, but gets caught by Natalya with a powerbomb.

Carmella tags into the match and puts the punishment on Naomi, literally rubbing her face into the match. Natalya is tagged in next, and she continues to keep Naomi grounded. After some back and forth action, Carmella is tagged into the match, and she continues the assault. Carmella is all over Naomi, but “Ms. Glow” is able to mount a comeback, speaking Carmella and tagging in Becky. Lynch comes in like a great ball of fire, unloading on Natalya. Becky hits a Becksploder and a missile dropkick.
After more back-and-forth action, Natalya tries giving Carmella the MITB briefcase, which distracts Lynch who hits Natalya and turns around to a super-kick from Carmella.

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship match: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, and/or Xavier Woods)

After a long evenly-matched battle, which saw both teams perform each other’s finishers, The Bludgeon Brothers came out to beat down both teams.

No contest. The Bludgeon Brothers beat down both teams.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ruby Riott

Ruby Riott dominated most of this match and seemed only inches away from capturing the WWE SmackDown Womne’s Championship. But one spear and one Figure Eight is all that is needed for Charlotte to walk away with as champion.

Charlotte Flair retains her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship after defeating Ruby Riott

Post-Match: “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka comes down to the ring and points to the WrestleMania sign, indicating that she’ll be facing off against Charlotte Flair this April in New Orleans for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Six-pack challenge for the WWE Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin vs. John Cena

John Cena gives an Attitude Adjustment to Owens, Zayn, Ziggler, and Corbin, until there was only AJ Styles and Cena. Styles and Cena tangle, but their one-on-one encounter is cut off by Zayn, Ziggler, Owens, and Corbin, who return to the ring and take out John Cena.

The action spills outside the ring. Corbin and Styles bring the fight back into the ring. Styles dispatches of Corbin, Owens, Ziggler, and Zayn in consecutive order. Styles goes for the pin on Zayn, but Owens breaks up the pin. Owens and Styles brawl. Owens gains higher ground on the top rope, but gets hit in the head by Styles. Both men trade shots. Styles ascends the top rope and positions Owens for a superplex. Owens fights out and Styles falls back down to the ring. Corbin tosses Styles out of the ring and then takes out Zayn. Cena takes out Corbin. Ziggler takes out Cena with a DDT, but Owens hits a frog-splash on Ziggler and goes for the cover. 1..2…Styles rushes the ring to break up the pin. Styles and Owens trade shots.
Fast-Forward (let’s skip ahead a bit): Kevin Owens accidently kicks Shane McMahon in the head as Sami Zayn ducks. This causes McMahon to break up the pin for both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on separate occasions, as they looked primed for victory.
Towards the end of the match, Owens hits Cena with a big-time pop-up powerbomb, but turns around to a Phenomenal Forearm from AJ Styles.

AJ Styles retains the WWE Championship
