A large police presence was seen at Comstock Middle School in Dallas around noon on Friday, with one person arrested at the school. Police confirmed that no shots or weapons were found at the school.

What happened?

At this time, it is believed that no kids were harmed during the incident. Reports of a possible shooting came out around noon at the school.
On Twitter, the following update confirmed that the lockdown had since been lifted from the school:

“Dallas ISD spokesperson reports that no shots were fired and no weapon was found. Police have a person in custody but it is not a student. Comstock Middle School is no longer in lockdown.”


A student reported he was being shot at to a school resource officer

According to Fox 35, the incident may have been reported by a student who claimed to have been shot at:

“The student who claimed he was being shot at went to a school resource officer at the campus and told him he was being followed and shot at, which triggered the massive response and a lockdown of the campus.”
“Two people were detained by police, but it’s not clear if they will face any charges. Footage from SKY4 showed a woman being taken into custody and placed in the back of a Dallas ISD Police squad car. It’s not known what her connection to the incident is, yet.”
