The 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held on January 21 at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall to honor some of the most significant actors and actresses, both individually and as a group. The SAG Awards is said to be warm, genuine and straightforward by critics around the world.
The SAG Awards are presented by SAG-AFTRA, which began in 1995, and has quickly become one of the industries most prized honors. SAG-AFTRA represents more than 160,000 actors, announcers, broadcasters, journalists, dancers, news editors/writers, hosts, singers and other artists. These members are the voices of entertainment and inform the world, ensuring the most robust protections for media artists everywhere.
The show will honor performers by presenting thirteen awards for acting in film and television during their two-hour show, airing live on TNT and TBS. These awards range from individual performances to entire ensemble performances and the cast of a motion picture.
There were 239 actors nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards this year.
This year’s SAG Awards will mark the 24th annual ceremony and will be hosted by Kristen Bell.
Everyone knows that the red carpet is always the best part and the SAG Awards red carpet did not disappoint.
According to the SAG Awards website, the guests of the event walk past international media and fans along the 17,100 square foot carpet, lined with 12,500 linear feet of hedges used for edging.
In front of the carpet is six-foot high bleachers that accommodate 300 fans. All people in attendance are shielded from the weather by 21,500 square feet of tenting that covers the carpet.
Celebrities from some of the most popular shows like GLOW and Stranger Things walked the carpet together. Castmembers from the best movies of the year also walked the carpet.
