Chelsea vs. Arsenal! Soccer fans get up! Arsenal and Chelsea are two teams that do not like each other. As is the case for most games when you don’t like your opponent, this game will be chippy and both teams will be playing with everything they got. Both teams are dealing with injuries to major contributors such as Mesut Ozil and David Luiz. This game is going to be tight the bookmakers have the odds at Arsenal win 15/8, Chelsea win 8/5, Draw- 9/2
Chelsea comes into this contest ranked 3rd in the English Premier League (EPL) boasting an impressive 14-3-4 record after not suffering a loss in their last 6 games. The Blues are cruising and are extremely excited to add star striker Eden Hazard back into their lineup. They are still without stud center back David Luiz, who Arsenal just tried to get on a transfer but was denied. Despite Luiz not playing Chelsea still looks poised to make this a compelling match and most likely squeak away with the W.
Arsenal has had an up and down year but they find themselves in the thick of the EPL standings. Arsenal currently sits 6th in the standings but sits a mere 7 points behind Chelsea. If Arsenal wants to make its presence felt throughout the Premier League standings it’s going to have to start today against Chelsea. This will be an uphill battle for them, stars Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny have a very outside shot at playing today some say its less than a 30% chance. Without those two in the lineup, it’s going to take a great coaching plan and perfect execution to win this one. Regardless there will be blood sweat and tears in this one!
Arsenal predicted starting XI:
Cech, Chambers, Mertsacker, Mustafi, Wilshere, Xhaka, Bellerin, Maitland-Niles, Walcott, Welback, Lacazette
Chelsea predicted starting XI:
Courtois, Rudiger, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Cesc, Bakayoko, Kante, Moses. Morata, Hazard
