Texas Tech University Police have released an emergency notification for students on the Texas Tech campus to evacuate amid reports of a bomb threat. All buildings are being evacuated and people are asked to bring their personal belongings to an off-campus location.

Tech released the emergency notification on their Facebook, saying “This is an emergency update. The bomb squad is investigating a suspicious package near Talkington Hall. Please continue to avoid the area. Updates will be provided as available.”

The first automated phone call from the university said there is a bomb threat on campus and all buildings need to be evacuated, however, the second alert from the school said that they’re investigating a suspicious package and the evacuation of all buildings is not necessary, but everyone should avoid the Talkington Hall area.
