Charles Manson, the infamous mass murderer and former cult leader who led what became known as the Manson Family, has been hospitalized at the age of 83-years-old. It is reportedly “only a matter of time”.
Manson brought to a Bakersfield hospital on Sunday, November 11. Manson had health problems in early 2017. In January, Manson was hospitalized for severe intestinal bleeding and needed surgery to repair a lesion.
After being convicted, Manson was originally sentenced to death, however, his sentence was commuted to life imprisonment when California invalidated the state’s death penalty statute in 1972.
Manson was serving his multiple life sentences at California State Prison in Corcoran.
Is Charles Manson Dead?
At this time, Charles Manson is still alive, although hospital sources told TMZ that “it’s not going to get any better for him” and that “it’s just a matter of time.”
