Ohio State vs. Michigan State Live Stream: How to Watch NCAA Football Online

|

After ten weeks of college football, there is a contest between two Big Ten powerhouses. These teams are the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan State Spartans. Both teams started the season with similar goals as both teams hoped to compete for a conference championship. Ohio State was ranked in the AP preseason top five rankings and was expected to compete for a college football playoff spot under coach Urban Meyer. Ohio State is currently the 13th ranked team in the college football rankings and will look to remain in playoff contention. Meanwhile, Michigan State is ranked the 12th best team in the country and will look to join the top ten with a victory this weekend.

The Ohio State Buckeyes started off their season in disappointing fashion by losing to Oklahoma in the second game of the season. However, the Buckeyes rallied and won their next six games including a victory over Penn State. The Buckeyes looked like a potential candidate to win the NCAA championship. However, the Buckeyes got upset by conference rival Iowa last weekend and fell in the rankings as a result. After losing by 31 points last week, the Buckeyes should be motivated to bounce back against a ranked foe.

Ohio State’s success is due to star quarterback J.T. Barrett. So far this season, Barrett has thrown for 28 touchdowns and only five interceptions along with over 2,300 yards passing. Barrett has also rushed for five  touchdowns this season and will look to stay in the Heisman race against Michigan State on Saturday. Barrett entered the season with the hopes of being drafted in the upcoming NFL Draft. If Barrett continues to play like he has in the first ten weeks, he should be selected in the latter half of the NFL Draft.

Michigan State’s success is due to sophomore quarterback Brian Lewerke. So far this season, Lewerke has thrown for 16 touchdowns and only five interceptions along with 2207 yards. Lewerke is also averaging 4.5 yards per carry and has over 300 yards rushing . If Michigan State has any hope of upsetting the Buckeyes, Lewerke will need to have a great game in both the passing and the running game.

As for my prediction, I have to side with Ohio State. The Buckeyes are practically unbeatable at home and I believe that the Buckeyes will be extremely motivated after their poor game last weekend. I expect Barrett to play well and lead the Buckeyes to a double digit victory.
