Police are responding to yet another active shooting situation in the Sunshine State of Florida. Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has responded by closing down part of State Road 52 near Meadow Drive in Hudson after receiving reports of an active shooter situation inside a home in Gulf Highlands subdivision within Pasco County.
The suspect was reportedly killed by police during a standoff in the Gulf Highlands subdivision.
As a result of the shooting, Gulf Highlands Elementary School in Port Richey has been placed on lockdown.

A reverse 911 call has been issued to residents of the area. The police has also warned the public to stay away from the area until this active shooting situation is neutralized.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office released the following reunification plan for parents and students at Gulf Highlands Elementary School:
*Car rider student reunification point is at Longbranch Dr and Harvest Moon Circle. We want parents to turn off 52 at Lamadera and go west on long branch until they reach their re unification point. School staff and law enforcement will be requiring identification of parents and guardians to release students.
Car riders are released first and bus riders after.
*Parents of bus riders need to stay at their bus stops as buses will be taking students to their stops. Please patient as we are releasing students late.
