Maryland High School Placed On Lockdown After Former Student Spotted With Gun

Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland is currently under lockdown due to a trespasser on campus. The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The Prince George’s County high school is on lockdown after authorities say they are investigating a threat on campus. According to police, a trespasser came onto the property.
According to reports, a former student that police were looking for was spotted at Potomac High and then left.Furthermore, a second current student was found with a gun. That student is now in custody.
Police officers are currently searching for the trespasser, who is thought to have left school grounds.


The school was placed on lockdown just before 11 AM EST.
It is unclear what the threat is at this time and no injuries have been reported.
The approximate enrollment at the school is 1,200 students.
