TCU Basketball Defeats Dunder Mifflin Despite Jim Halpert’s 28 Points & 9 Rebounds

Sometimes life isn’t so bad after all. Sometimes, the good guys win. Sometimes, fantasy and reality collide to create something special. This is one of those sometimes.

The TCU Horned Frogs basketball team has been in Australia since August 5, doing various preseason summer tournaments and such. However, what would usually be a nondescript journey to the other side of the world turned into a rather enjoyable viral story for fans of The Office.

After a game on Sunday against a team only identified as the Longhorns, the TCU basketball team posted the box score to their Twitter account.

Apparently, the Horned Frogs opponents were assigned names before the game, so they went with the namesakes of the legendary Scranton Dunder Mifflin squad.

Of course, Jim was the alpha of the squad, pouring in a cool 28 points on 75% shooting from three, with another 9 boards.
