Monday, July 10, 2017 is National Piña Colada Day in the good ole’ U.S of A. Sounds tasty. But what exactly is in a piña colada? And how do do you make one? Well, first off: this drink shouldn’t be consumed by anyone under the age of 21. There’s alcohol in there, kiddo!
Piña Colada Ingredients
- Rum (1 ounce)
- Coconut cream or coconut milk (1 ounce)
- Pineapple juice (3 ounce)
- May come with a pineapple wedge, maraschino cherry, or both
- Blended drink w/ ice (for frozen style)
Piña Colada Preparation
- Make sure to stir with ice until smooth
- Next pour your drink into a chilled glass
- Finally apply the garnish (pineapple wedge, maraschino cherry, both, etc.)
What To Know How To Get The “Piña Colada Song” Ear-Worm Out Of Your Head?
Sorry for giving you that ear-worm, folks. They’re very tricky to get rid of. But I know just the trick. In order to get rid of one ear-worm, you need to a new ear-worm to move in and kick that one out. You’ll still have an ear-worm, but it won’t be about the enjoyment/orgasmic bliss of drinking piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.
