Michael Keaton’s Net Worth 2017: How Much Is Michael Keaton Worth Now?

Michael Keaton, a well-known actor in Hollywood, is considered a celebrated star in film and tv.

He became a household name from his remarkable performance on Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice. His style and mannerism, similar to that of Tim Burton’s liking, also landed his successful role as Batman. Although there were several actors who put on the iconic Batman costume, he is still considered the best.

Michael Keaton’s Net Worth as of 2017: $15 Million

Keaton’s several appearances on tv shows such as “Maude” and films like “Batman” earned him a sh** load of money. Throughout his celebrated career, he appeared in an array of diverse films ranging from dramas to romantic comedies; also, he starred in numerous action motion pictures. Although he is still acting, let us look through his past achievements and career landmarks.

Keaton first jumpstarted his career by appearing on television programs called Where the Heart Is and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood (1975), as one of the “Flying Zookeeni Brothers.” Keaton then left his first stop, Pittsburgh, for the cinema-filled city, Los Angeles. Here, he popped up in various popular TV shows including Maude and The Mary Tyler Moore Hour. Later, he played the title character in Tim Burton’s 1988 horror-comedy Beetlejuice, earning Keaton widespread acclaim and boosting him to Hollywood’s A-list. He originally turned down the role, then reconsidered like most of the cast. He now considers Beetlejuice his favorite of his own films.

Keaton’s career was given another major boost when he was again cast by Tim Burton, this time as the title comic book superhero of 1989’s Batman. Warner Bros. received thousands of letters of complaint by fans who believed Keaton was the wrong choice to portray Batman. However, Keaton’s performance in the role ultimately earned widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences, and Batman became one of the most successful films of that year.

Keaton reportedly was cast as Jack Shephard in the series Lost, with the understanding that the role of Jack would be a brief one. Once the role was retooled to be a long-running series regular, Keaton withdrew. The part was then given to actor Matthew Fox. The show ran for six seasons, with the Shephard role continuing throughout. In addition, in 2015, Keaton appeared as Walter V. Robinson in the film Spotlight, and in 2016, he starred as businessman Ray Kroc in the biopic The Founder. More so, in 2016, Keaton entered negotiations to appear as a villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will be released in 2017. Producer Kevin Feige confirmed in November that Keaton would be playing the supervillain the Vulture. Besides that, Keaton is set to portray the villain in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Dumbo. However, the most anticipated film to come out is Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will come out on July 7th, 2017.
